I had the pleasure earlier this month to attend a special charity event by Mary Kay in celebration of their global 50th anniversary, partnering with Pusat Kebajikan HOPE Kuala Lumpur to treat 50 single mothers and their 100 children to a sumptuous luncheon at Double Tree, Hilton.
The event included a beauty and pampering workshop for the mothers by the Mary Kay Independent Sales Force.
Children were not left out as they had their own activities while their mothers had their pampering session.
“I believe it’s all about the heart. When a women is inspired to discover her true beauty, it transforms her inside out. This year marks our 50th year anniversary worldwide; therefore we are honoured to give back by enriching the lives of 50 single mothers and 100 children today. Enriching women’s lives is truly the heart of Mary Kay.”
- Nasution Abdul Rahman, General Manager for May Kay Malaysia and Singapore -
This exclusive charity event was graced with the presence of Miss Malaysia Universe 2013, Carey Ng as well.

Besides this luncheon treat and as part of its ongoing commitment to doing good, Mary Kay under it’s cause-related marketing program, Beauty that Counts will be donating RM3.00 from each sale of it’s Mary Kay limited-edition Beauty that Counts lip products.
The proceeds will help raise funds for medication and refurbishment for HOPE’s free clinic located at Sentul Kuala Lumpur for underprivileged patients. You can join Mary Kay in its global effort to change the lives of women and children around the world through this channel which runs from 16 May through 31 December 2013.

Partnering with HOPE Worldwide is not a new thing to Mary Kay for this year marks their 6th year of partnership. Mothers were enriched through the beauty of Mary Kay products and knowledge. There’s a Mary Kay Pink Learning Center built to provide educational program to children and underprivileged citizens to receive medical and food aid.
